The expansive 30,000-hectare concession is surrounded by privately owned game reserves, just a 2-hour drive from Kruger National Park. Home to over 30 species of African game, the operation caters to both rifle and bow hunters, from first-timers to seasoned trophy collectors. Professional hunter Jimmy van Amstel brings over two decades of experience in pursuing plains game and the Big 5 across South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique. Guests stay at the Makonya lodge — air-conditioned en-suite rooms with African-styled decor, a pool overlooking the river, and home-cooked meals under the bushveld sky.
